Ringo Starr started playing drums since he was a little boy in the hospital. The nurse would come around with plastic instruments for them to play with, and Ringo would always choose the drum. He would fight over it. Once he was out of the hospital, he told his family of his interest in music, and his uncle bought him a guitar. Eventually he got a set of drums. His interest in drumming started when he was about five, but it is unsure of when he actually got his first drum set.

Fun- Fact, Ringo Starr is actually left-handed, but his grandmother wouldn't let him write with his left because she was Catholic. That's why Ringo's drumming style is different from most drummer's drumming. He throws left-handed moves into a right-sided drum set.

Did Ringo play with the beatles at the marine hall fleetwood in august 1962?

I don't have the answer but am looking forward to finding out - may I ask what makes you think Ringo played at Marine Hall, Fleetwood? *UPDATE: Just checked with a chap who has always lived in Fleetwood - he says YES the Beatles with Ringo did indeed take to the stage at Marine Hall to play - supported by a local band. Apparently though, they were boo-ed off stage by the audience within the first song and the local group took over! Think this could do with more checking :)
