He is not. He is punk/pop/rock. Though he does wear eyeliner (Some times) So do a lot of rock bands.
There is no difference really, between a punk rock picnic and a punk rock gig. Both of them are punk rock festivals, which means that there is lots of people coming to see it, bands performing live, people having fun, etc. The only difference might be that, at a punk rock picnic, there are some areas where people can sit and eat, whereas at a punk rock gig you can still eat, but you mostly stand up and do the pogo/moshing dance with the crowd, so that can be the only difference.
punk rock and have been the #1 punk group fpr 12 years straight Green Day fits into Pop/Poser Punk and has indeed been #1 for several years. Be careful calling them Punk rock on the streets. Also for a Punk band, being #1 is bad. COMMERCIALISM SUCKS. green day used to be pop punk but they are punk rock i luv green day they are the #1 best band in the world i luv all their songs especialy horseshoes and handgrenades!!!!!<3
It is the representation of change and that scares people.
Punk rock stemmed off from rock. It was so popular because it was very original and modern with political lyrics. The songs were short and fast paced. It was something that just caught on. collingwood
Punk rock isn't about being famous, So none.
They formed after the Sex Pistols had sort of started the English punk scene, so one would be safe in assuming that they had a major part to play in that, but so did most of the rock bands and beginning punk groups of the era.
punk rock fashion is the stuff that punk rockers wear punk is not a fashion. it is a way of life, and if you think you are going to be so ignorant to try and do that than find something better to do
No, it wasn't. Modest Mouse is not even a punk rock band, so it couldn't have been a part of the punk rock explosion in 1970. Modest Mouse is an indie rock band.

Not much really. Punk rock is about rebellion against the law and government. Emo means emotive hardcore and is more about people talking about their life. Emotive Hardcore is a sub genre of hardcore punk and indie rock so emo is basically punk.

They can be considered so. They are said by critics to be: Alternative Metal, Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, Screamo, Post-grunge, Nu-metal, Christian Rock, Rock, Punk, Grunge, Heavy Rock, Hardcore, Metalcore, and Indie.
Punk rock is one of my many favourite genres which originated in Britain in the 70's. Though I'll just cut to the chase, if you're looking for good punk rock songs, bellow are some of the best punk rock songs of all time: Skunk Anansie - charlie big potato Flyleaf - I'm so sick Also Funeral For a Friend is a alternative metal/ punk rock band which I highly recommend.
No- the whole point about punk is that it's meant to be against the competitive ethos. Music awards are seen by punks as a product of the big-scale music industry which punk was established to undermine, so the very essence of punk rock is against such things.
