well dont ever get a second guitar because u suck at the first one...there is no difference for the most part. if your guitar is broken you should get a new one. maybe if you're searching for a new sound or look. that is when You should consider a second guitar for a number of reasons. 1. Maybe your first guitar was a cheaper "starter" guitar, and now you have musically progressed far enough to want the higher end models. 2. The first guitar may not have the "bells and whistles" that you think you want, for example, a whammy bar. 3. As you get more and more knowledge you realize that other Guitars have better pickups, more advanced bridges etc and you think it is time to upgrade. 4. You want a second guitar for a totally different kind of playing...many folks have an acoustic as their second guitar.
