There are many possible causes. With my sons LXi this problem seems to have been related to the factory security system and a faulty tamper detection switch at the trunk key-lock. Another symptom is the alarm (horn and lights) would sound off on its own randomly.
You can tell if you have this problem by locking the car with the key or fob and watching the red light in the center of the dashboard under the rear view mirror up near the windshield. If the light comes on solid for a few seconds before it begins flashing, then your trunk switch has a fault. After the alarm sounds, it prevents the car from being started and leads to all sorts of autoshutdown (ASD) issues where the relays under the hood keep clicking until the fuses are pulled to reset the ASD and PCM circuits. Sometimes the engine may start, run for a few seconds and die.
Locking and unlocking the car and trunk until the normal security light sequence (16 seconds of fast flash, then slow flashes) seems to put everything back in order.
Or your battery could just be be extremely low. it takes much more energy from the battery to start a vehicle than it does to power the radio or interior lights. the clicking sound comes from the starter relay trying and failing to engage the starter and turn the engine over.
My Brake tail Lights Stay on when my car is complete turned off and my lights are off to.
Most likely the battery is weak and dying. Enough voltage and current to make the solenoid barely engage (clicking in and out), but plenty of current and voltage for the radio and some of the lights.
Remove the radio and check to see that the connectors are plugged in to the back of the radio.if they are connected then it may be a bad radio.
Your clicking msy me your sc duct door acuator with a strip gear and for your gauge problem snd radio sounds like a bad ground check and make sure you have a ground from your battery to your engine and from your engine to the frame and from your frame to your body.
Well you mean tail lights i think and it has to either they are burnt out or a brake edal sensor is the problem and is stuck
check the battery and or alternator
Your dood agar sensor sounds like it bad
I have a 98 Concorde. My backup lights stopped working and I had my independent garage mechanic check it out while working on another problem and he told me the switch is internal, inside the transmission housing. I didn't pursue it futher. I'm not about to have them tear into the transmission just to replace a simple switch. Another example of Chrysler's wonderful engineering.
light bulb out on map light how to change with out breaking plastic lens
problem resolved
You will need to have both computers checked for trouble codes, and then repair the causes of the codes to get the lights to go off.
Locks, wipers, lights, most interior functions, theft, parts of the hvac etc
Daytime running lights are only available on a Candian sold new car. You don't have them if the car was purchased new in the USA.
Could be a faulty relay!
I have the same problem. any resolution
Sounds like a failed control head.
If it is a rapid clicking, the battery has failed.
