The original Journey (where Greg Roley was lead singer and Randy Jackson played bass) was started around '72. They switched people in the band and finally came up with a solution, Steve Perry, in '77 and that is when their music started being listened to. The band is still going today, though no one can replace Steve Perry nor get him back with the band.
