∙ 12y agoBagpipes are ancient and were probably invented in Centeral Asia. They are mentioned in the Old Testament (Daniel 3: 5,10,15) and in Greek poetry from 4th century BC. The Romans would have brough them to Britain but the first Pictish carvings date from eighth century AD.BUT are not scottish no offenceto Scots cause i am one the Scots made it there own which is a good thing

∙ 11y agoMany if not most cultures around the world have had a form of bagpipes in their cultural history, as such its hard to pin down where the first set came from, but the earliest evidence of bagpipes is from about 1000BC in the area of what is now the Middle East.
