One can find used Steinberger Guitars on a variety of online trading websites. One will have the best chance on specialized music-related trading websites such as 'musiciansfriends' or 'headlessusa'. Generic trading platforms as Ebay or Amazon may have Steinberger guitars on offer as well.

Can you use a laney hcm65b bass amplifier for a standard 6 string electric guitar Gibson?

You'll be able to get a sound out of it for practice, but the tone probably won't be very good. The size of the speaker cone required to produce the bass (12") means it won't really be responsive enough to deal with the higher note on the guitar successfully.I don't THINK it'll damage guitar or amp. It shouldn't damage your bass amp, but if you use a bass with a guitar amp it will pretty much destroy the amp.

Which is better for a rock band. Electric guitar or bass guitar?

That's kind of backwards. A bass guitar is an electric guitar, but it can also be acoustic. Most bass guitars are electric. They usually have four strings, and are lower in tone than the regular guitar. That's why they are called 'bass' guitars. They follow the chords of a song and bring out the low end of the sound, emphasizing with bass notes. There are five and six string bass guitars as well, but most are four string. Watch for the guy with a four string guitar on stage and you probably are looking at the bass guitarist. Listen for the low single notes being played and you are listening to the bass guitarist.

Can you put regular bass strings on an acoustic bass?

Yes you can and they will work fine, the tone will be affected. The steel strings for an electric guitar (steel so they interact with the magnets on the pickup) will not sound as full and rich as the bronze strings designed for acoustic. In a pinch, they will work just fine! (but not visa-versa because of the magnet thing).

How do you make a homemade guitar that is safe for kids as a project for school?

Instead of making a guitar from scratch, I think I would try to find a kit for a guitar, such as the kits that some music stores have for such instruments as the Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, and Fender Bass. These usually run $100-$150 for the kit. Other than that, you could try to buy all the components separately and assemble it, but it would be good deal more expensive that way.

Can you play a bass guitar over a normal hi-fi amp and speakers?

as far as i know its possible, but i wouldn't advise it,playing bass through an ordinary guitar amp can damage the speaker forever and damage the guitar too, bass amps are specificaly designed to deal with the lower frequencies that a bass guitar produces, playing though your hi-fi may damage the speakers forever or cause them to blow at higher volumes

Are guitar packs a good deal or is it more worth it to buy the guitar then the accessories separately?

You will spend more to buy an amp and guitar separately, but they will more than likely be better quality than the guitar pack. However, if you are a beginner then quality won't be as much an issue as affordability. Unless you are 100% sure you're going to stick with it, go with the guitar pack.Note: This is my opinion.
