There is. Plug your iPod into your computer and then wait for it to come onto your iTunes. Click on your iPod and then under all the details it should have an update and a restore button. I think this only happens if you have a 4.1 version of iTunes though.
you have to transfer all your songs to itunes before you send it to repair or restore it.
u don't have to restore your i pod to factory to add new songs. it's just drag and drop from your song list window to itunes and press 'sync'.
First make sure you have iTunes and an iTunes account. To get iTunes, go to apple.com/itunes, download and install this. Then create an account. With your iPod you should have got a white cord that connects from your iPod to the usb port in your computer. Connect these two. It should tell your computer you're trying to connect to iTunes, if it doesn't find iTunes on your desktop or in your start menu>programs (considering you're working on Windows). It should pull up for you to sign in, then register your iPod through your iTunes which is a step by step process on the iTunes. And you should be connected.
it depends, if your iPod is synced with a mac and you plug it into a PC and click restore , evrything will get deleted (EVERY THING!!)if you just restore on the computer it has already been synced to, its like a master reset but your music(pics, notes, etc.) should be fine . if your iPod freezes don't restore unless it says to on the screen ; simply turn the hold on and then off then press the select(middle) button while pressing the menu button ; do that until the apple pops up on the screen . then it should either come back on or it should tell you to restore . =]

There are two ways to restore your ipod touch. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for ten seconds until the apple symbol appears. Or you can plug your ipod into itunes and restore from there. The itunes restore is a more complete way to restore.
Yes when you restore your iPod all your data will still be on your iTunes Account. As the system is restoring system files and not your media stored on the device or within iTunes.
