In a 2003 BMW 745i, the radio fuse is located in the fuse box, which is found in the trunk of the vehicle. To access it, open the trunk and remove the cover on the right side, where you'll find the fuse panel. The specific fuse for the radio is usually labeled in the diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover. Ensure to check the owner's manual for the exact fuse number and location if needed.
Look under the hood by the passengers side of the vehicle in the fuse box. You wil find the fuse there.
I just bought a 2002 BMW 325i and had the exact same problem. I took the car to BMW and they said that whoever had the car before had it apart and did not reset the sensors. They reset the sensors and it worked fine for a couple of days. I put in a cheap one at Best Buy. BMW told me that if it was a blown fuse the radio will not turn on. A BMW replacement Business CD Player will cost you upwards of a thousand dollars.
not knowing the year of your car, i guessed at 2002, in this case depending on package options there are two.. #9 and #44.
Call your local BMW dealership with that number.
I had this problem, too. I called my local BMW dealer and they did not have a solution other that to schedule a service appointment. I also called BMW Assist, same answer. I solved it myself by pulling out and reinserting the fuse for the "telephone," which on my vehicle was the second one from the left on the bottom row, 5 amps. The fuses are located in the top of the glove compartment and are accessed by turning the two white tabs at the top of the compartment. The fuse block folds down into view. There is a fuse removal tool and a diagram. You will have to pull out the diagram to read the whole thing. Find the one labeled "telephone." -Rich
