2002 , it was made in America as well , you can find out dates of Fender guitars on the fender support page by googling it.
1984 check the pots (vol and tone) as well they will have a code 137 XX XX the first XX s the year secondis the week eg 137 84 23 is 23rd week of 1984.
The E indicates the Stratocaster was made in the eighties. Furthermore, the 4 that follows the E indicates it was made in the fourth year of the eighties. Therefore, you would think the guitar was made in 1984. Now, here's what makes it difficult. The E4 was also used on American Standards all the way up to 1988. Therefore, you guitar would have to be made from 1984 to 1988. That's the best I can do cowboy. According to the Fender website E4 series were made in 1984.
