∙ 14y agoMy awnser? I suggest the the Yamaha brand clairnet. They pronounce clear notes and play really well. They are made in Japan and cost $880. Not all insturments are this cheap. Compare it to the cello. $30000 or more.

The brands range from high-end clarinets played by professionals that you can find at music stores to cheap plastic clarinets that you can find on the internet. Some of the most recognized clarinet brands are Yamaha, Jupiter, Selmer, and Buffet.

∙ 11y agoThere are many brands and prices, but the rule of thumb is to stay with branded clarinets such as YAMAHA and BUFFET. Each of these brands will have clarinets ranging from not too expensive to really expensive. If you want to buy a clarinet and save money the best is to buy a used clarinet that has been serviced (or refurbished). It will perform the same or even better than a new one if the set up is good.
