There does not seem to be any evidence of Austrian composer Joseph Hayden flying into rages in the way certain other great composers were known to. He did apparently have a few minor personality problems as a young man when engaged in teaching in 1758-9 in Vienna and then at Lukavec. But after that he matured and seems to have spent much of his life in comparative isolation. His composing career was among the longest of any classical composer, such as in him composing over 100 symphonies in comparison with Beethoven composing only nine, and his composing life extended from mid 18th century to to early 19th century. Some of his music seems to exemplify his sense of humour and fun rather than any temperamental trait.
