Michael Jackson. Without any doubt. He has invented single handedly so many dance moves known to the world today and also popularized many others. It is only because of him that we have robot, locking popping and various genres of dances. Earlier we had only a typical steriotype dance movements in the form of Bharatnatyam, katthak etc. But now there is a variety in dance and these dance moves look even more cooler and stylish and meaningful at the same time. They are even more difficult to perform and need special training to do it professionally. MJ was also inducted into the National Dance and Hall of Fame in America and has thus given it the tag of classical dancing as they never had this kind of dance. So, he basically opened a new dimension to dancing and physical expression. As I said that he did most of these single handedly and also by getting inspired from other greats like James Brown and Fred Astaire, so he certainly deserves a greater respect than the ones who have merely followed a known dance style and perfected it unlike mj who started from scratch and ended with a bucketfull of new and innovative dance moves. He has brought a change in the dance and has pushed the envelope further and brought more to the table than any other dancers during his era. So, I have my votes for him after judging everything rationally and not as a biased fan...
