Johann Friedrich Cristoph Bach
Classical music wasn't as you know it today. Today we have multiple genres spanning the entire music scene of the world. Several centuries ago Classical music was simply music. There was no disparity between what was classical and what was not. Nearly everything of the time was classical therefore it became popular from its inception. In terms of instrumental classical music, that took off at the demise of the Baroque Period and beginning of the Classical period. Rising middle-class wages allowed for a wider range of audience in virtuoso performances and public orchestras. Music was a sign of prestige and therefore those who could not perform at least attended. It was one of the primary sources of entertainment besides plays. Popularity for classical music has dwindled since the 19th century. And there is little hope it will be revived through the few neo-classical artists remaining.
Pop Music is modern day music that a large amount of the population enjoys listening to. It is written quite recently and has almost no rules as to how it can sound. Classical Music can actually encompass three large periods of music (Baroque, Classical, and Romantic). It was written in the 1600's to the 1800's (Baroque was the earliest, then Classical, then Romantic). The rules were much more strict than they are now, especially in Baroque and Classical music. Essentially, pop music is popular and modern. Classical music can possibly be considered the "pop" music of centuries ago.
Opera is a play to be sung by one or more persons with instrumental accompaniment and acted in costume. Therefore 'opera music' is the accompaniment.
The 18th century was called the Baroque period, and Vienna was a Baroque city. But in his case, he wrote music in that era and in the classical period also. Two eras, one composer.
Polka music has had an impact on many types of music in America. Its influences are seen in Tex-Mex music and even in classical music. The polka band was most popular with German-Americans but polka masses and polka organizations represent huge varieties of Americans now.?æ
That depends, the classical period was from the early-mid 1700's to the early 1800's, Classical Music as a whole is from about 1680-now
Today we don't have classical music composers. Classical music is period around XVI to XIX century, even part of XX century. It was pushed by, in one side, atonality (modern music) and popular music in the other. Now, it's possible that today's composers write in a classical way. For example, the Prokofiev's First Symphony 'Classical' or Stravinsky's Pulcinella suite. But, even, we can't talk of classical music nowdays.
It's gotta be Philip Glass. And Frank Zappa.
I have now discovered, via Brandenburg TV, that Mr McClure is now happily retired and living in Vermont.
The same significance that pop stars have now. Only their audience was mostly adults. The music they made is now called "classical music" but was then an elaborate form of contemporary, popular music. Virtuoso performers/composers like Paganini and Lizt already had lots of adoring fans and groupies. Their 'significance' if you will was that they helped to make 19th century classical music popular.
There is a wide variety of music available on the market at present. This can range from classical orchestral tunes to electronic beats and heavy metal.
There are many contemporary artists who try to animate to classical music. You can search on Youtube with keyworks like 3d audio visualization, reactive audio, and add classical music or specific artists. I just popped up to one video right now for example on 3D synesthesia channel

Often, people describe the Classical period of music as being heavily Romantic. However, the Romance period was after the Classical period. Classical is usually just referred to as Classical.
