http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224 had the same thing happen... figured it out.. go to this link and follow all the instructions, but when u get done you DONT have to reinstall itunes again just click on the icon on your dock,,,, then go to 'authorize computer' and put in your info....everything should work. I know how frustrating it is! Good Luck!
