On June 29, 2009, Katherine was granted temporary (or until old age) guardianship of Michael's three children, following his death four days earlier. Court documents indicated that she was also seeking control over the three children's interests in their late father's estate. Although Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of the two eldest children and Michael's second wife, had not seen or interacted with the children for years, as of July 4, 2009, she petitioned the courts for custody of her children and is "considering" petitioning for the third. As of July 30, 2009, Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe had reached a settlement pertaining to the care of Michael's three children. Prince, Paris and Blanket will be raised by Katherine; Debbie Rowe will have visitation rights and will not receive compensation.

Michael wanted (as per his will) his mother Katherine to raise his children. He absolutely adored his mother and has always been very vocal in his commendation of her.

He knew she had a strong Jehovah's Witness faith, and so would expect her to instill that into his children, but he also requested this personally that his children be raised Jehovah's Witnesses, just as he was, if anything should happen to him. Why he didn't start this while he was alive, is for reasons known only to Michael.

He definitely didn't want his children to lead a showbusiness life, and that's why he kept them secluded all these years.

But Michael is gone now, and his children ARE NOT HIM, so lets leave them to lead their lives in peace and privacy, surrounded by those who love them, not the prying eyes and judgemental comments of strangers (whether they be MJ fans or papparazzi).
