Bruno Walter (born in Berlin, 15 September, 1876; died in Beverly Hills, 17 February, 1962) was a conductor of classical music. Born in Germany as Bruno Schlesinger, he later moved to America. Walter was possibly best known for his expressive performances of works by Mozart, Mahler and Strauss.
