I'm not too sure but to me it sounds like the same woman who is in Bridget Jones and plays Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter, but it's bugging me I don't know for sure!
Well if you are not wearing your seatbelt it will flash. See the car seat is specially designed to be able to sense when weight is on it. So if it feels pressure and knows that whoever is sitting there is not wearing the seatbelt it will flash to let you know to put it on. Its a safety devoce.
A common item that people put on but don't wear is a seatbelt. While it's fastened and secured for safety while driving, it doesn't serve as clothing like traditional garments do. Instead, it provides protection and is a crucial part of vehicle safety.
I have encountered this problem in a standard 2.0 Mondeo. Basically, I have found that when the seat back is folded forward, with the mechanism in a horizontal plane (as opposed to a vertical plane), the release mechanism will not operate. This is extremely annoying as you you cannot then lift the seat back into the upright position as the jammed mechanism won't allow it. The answer is to pull the seat squab forward to access the seatbelt mounting bolt. Undo the mounting (you really need an appropriate sized torx spanner for this, but I found an Allen key worked OK). You can then raise the seatback and this releases the mechanism, and you can then reconnect the mounting. What you need to do now is to put a stop in the seatbelt (I've used a safety pin temporarily) to make sure the seatbelt does not reel in when you next lower the seat back. Hope this helps!
In the United States, the first law requiring the use of seatbelts was enacted in New York in 1984. This law mandated that front-seat occupants of passenger vehicles wear seatbelts. By the end of the 1980s, many other states followed suit, implementing their own seatbelt laws to enhance road safety.

It is for your safety. More people without a seatbelt die in car accidents than with seatbelt. So I require to use the seatbelt. See here for more information about seatbelt usage: How_much_does_it_cost_to_replace_a_window

To turn off the seatbelt warning light on a Citroën C1, you typically need to buckle the seatbelt. If you want to disable the warning sound, you can do so by following the vehicle's manual instructions, usually involving a specific sequence of actions with the ignition and seatbelt. However, keep in mind that disabling safety features is not recommended for safety reasons. Always ensure that all passengers are buckled in for safe driving.
