I have a piena student model made in Czechoslovakia. I had it set up etc about 10 years ago and was told it was a very nice violin and probably worthnabout £800 to £1000 so probably a bit more than that now..
ALL Amati saxophones were/are made in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia). There are rumours that they subcontract to asia, like almost everyone else. However, if you look at the neck receiver on every sax made after around 1985...you will see it is stamped CZ or Czechoslovakia. Before then the Czech stamp was found below the serial number on the body. Also, they really do not resemble asian horns at all....they are a straight pedigree from when the company began in the 1920's. I believe that they are mistaken for asian-made because their prices are so reasonable. The company still produces from Kraslice (aka Grazlitz).
I have a classical model. My father bought it back in the Soviet Union in mid-seventies. It's a great guitar with good sound. It also tunes really well. hey i added some stuff in the discussion area! check it out :)
I'm not sure exactly how much but I know it can be up to about 5 million dollars.
I have a Copy of Antonius Stradivarius made in Czecho Slovakia around 1890ish. I got mine from my dad for my sweet 16. He bought it from a very old gentleman that had inherited it to the best of my knowledge. I have seen some listed on e-bay that look to be in good shape. They just need minor things such as bridge, strings, bow repairs, etc. Nothing you can't do yourself. As for how much they cost, I think my dad payed around 300 bucks 15 yrs ago. Happy Hunting! I am not sure of the date of my copy I bought at an antique store in the south about 10 years ago, but I paid $100. Czechoslovakia wasn't formed into a state until 1918. Your violin was made after then. If it says "copy of" it was made after 1957 when it was required to say "copy of" to avoid confusion. There are so many they are practically worthless.
Czechoslovakia country was formed in october 1918,so if your violin says "Made in Czechoslovakia",then is a copy made after 1918.

Yes, the annexation of Austria by Germany made it stronger. It also helped Germany annex Czechoslovakia next. The annexation of Czechoslovakia made the German attack on Poland even easier.
Czech leaders would restrict their political and cultural involvement. The condition that made it possible for Alexander Dubcek to take power in Czechoslovakia again was the Prague Spring.
