Famed session guitarist Louie Shelton played the solos on the 2nd version of this song. Shelton has released a few solo albums and in the '70s, he worked extensively with Seals & Crofts as producer and guitar player.

Depends on what you consider the solo. The intro riff of the short TV version was played on synth by Ron Wasserman. The real guitar solo from the long version of the theme was played by me, Ron Kenan
