G and R did not ever cover stairway to heaven , as far as I know, and I am a huge Zep lover. They did cover Sympathy for the devil however, and it was fantastic !

They did do a song live where the band left the stage for Bonzo's solo and that took several minutes, when it included Pages solo, that song could have taken twenty minutes but I don't believe that they ever used 'Stairway'. The drum riff is not suited for that.
