Al Jolsen performed it in the Jazz Singer also in 1927. It was recorded for the first time the following year by Ben Selvin.
Benny Goodman and his orchestra recorded it in 1935 and 1946.
Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire performed it in 1946 in the movie of the same title.
Count Basie recorded the song also in 1946.
Moon Mulican recorded it as a swing version in 1939.
Jim Reeves recorded it as a country version in 1962 and Willie Nelson in 1978.
