"Really Gonna Miss You" by Smokey Robinson was written about Melvin Franklin. Melvin aka "Blue" was one of the original members of "The Temptations" who died on February 23, 1995. He was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and used cortisone to ease the pain so he could continue performing. Because he used so much, he developed diabetes, and after a series of seizures, he fell into a coma and died. Smokey was the primary songwriter and producer for the Temptations from 1963 to 1966. After Franklin's death, he wrote this song for him, and sang it at his funeral.
