Canada's youngest prime minister was Joe Clark, who took office at the age of 39 in April 1979. He led the Progressive Conservative Party and served until March 1980. Although he was not the youngest leader in Canadian history, his tenure is notable for being the youngest at the time of his election as prime minister.
