Sissieretta Jones, American soprano, sang at Carnegie Hall on June 15, 1892, in the lower level "Recital Hall" (today's Zankel Hall). She returned to sing in the main Carnegie Hall auditorium (today's Isaac Stern Auditorium) on February 13, 1893.
Edith Piaf performed at Carnegie Hall in 1947. I assume this was the first time Piaf performed at Carnegie Hall but I don't know that. I attended and spoke with her backstage (my brother knew her from Paris). Marlene Dietrich also attended and we all met backstage.
