∙ 14y agoEtta James made a classic recording in 1961. However, the song was written in back in 1941 by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren. It first became a hit in the early 1940s when it was sung by Ray Eberle, accompanied by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The song was also featured in the movie musicals Sun Valley Serenade and Orchestra Wives. It was largely forgotten after the war until Etta James made it even more famous with her classic rendition in the early 1960's.
