Why after buying the official volkwagen beetle tools to remove the radio when I put them in I can't pull the radio out What am I doing wrong?

You may not be inserting the clips in far enough. Press them in as far as they will go and then pull both sides simultaneously. Make sure you are not criss crossing the sides. If I remember right, there is a left clip and a right.
