Why did Ariana Grande change her hair color?

Ariana Grande actually volunteered to dye her hair her intense magenta/red color. Dan Schneider wanted someone on the show to have NOT have brown hair, but everyone else on the show such as these celebrities do: Victoria Justice(Tori Vega) Daniella Monet(Trina Vega) Leon Thomas III(Andre Harris) Elizabeth Gillies(Jade West) & Avon Jogia(Beck Oliver). Ariana Grande, a.k.a., Cat Valentine, is truly the only person on the show that doesn't have brown hair. It would have been pretty annoying seeing all Brunettes. She dyed her hair red to play Cat on Victorious. Dan Schneider, the man who made the show, didn't want a bunch of brunettes in the show and he decided that Cat will have red velvet hair.

The rest of the show are brunettes and they wanted her to look more spunky. In the show they try to portray that she dyed her hair red because she really likes red velvet cupcakes, but in real life thats not the case. She signed herself into the show over her hair and therefore she is a natural brunette.
