To show to the world the sufferings of the people, especially poor people who are the victims of the corrupt political systems. Jamaica's politics and politicians keeps deceiving the people continually.

Trench town was a microcosm in the sufferings of poor and disadvantaged peoples from all over the world.

Ras Cardo who mentored Bob Marley and other reggae legends as a youth himself, did much works to make sure that the struggles of the trench town people will never be forgotten. He too was a part of the sufferings and struggles of his people.

He stands as a living reggae creator and legend today who has the detailed history from those trench town days.

Many of the lyrics in the songs of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh came from the reasonings of all the trench town brethrens when Ras cardo was attending the prestigious catholic high school- St. Georges College- . Taught by Jesuits with advanced degrees Ras cardo shared his knowledge with all the trench town people.

Ras cardo is a living resource on reggae and stands as the authority and advocate on the genre and the livity of the trench town people.

He stands as the cornerstone of reggae and speaks for the trench town people and all poor people globally. Reggae is for doing good for the people. His works has redefined Jamaica, America, and the world. Reggae is the spiritual music force of Rastafari.

I AM RAS CARDO WHO COMES FROM TRENCH TOWN AND WHO HAVE POSTED MY REGGAE COPYRIGHTS ONLINE FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.

OUR SUFFERING IN TRENCH TOWN WAS UNBEARABLE , CRUEL, DENIGRATING, DEHUMANIZING, AND EGREGIOUS. RACIAL PREJUDICE AND HATRED FOR US IN TRENCH TOWN PREVAILED. WE SUFFERED MUCH AND THE GOVERNMENT, PASTORS, COLLEGES, AND OTHER WELL-TO-DO FOLKS DID NOT CARE ABOUT US.

I AM HERE WITH THE TRENCH TOWN CREW TO MAKE OUR SUFFERINGS KNOWN TO THE WORLD. SO MUCH LIES HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT REGGAE AND TRENCH TOWN FOR YEARS.

SLAVE MASTERS SONS AND CHILDREN NOW RUN JAMAICAN GOVERNMENT, AND WE KNEW THIS FOR YEARS.

OUR REGGAE SPEAKS TRUTH AND WE KNOW IT HAS DONE THAT FOR THE PEOPLE GLOBALLY.

I AM RAS CARDO FROM TRENCH TOWN.

The 1967 edition of the Dictionary of Jamaican Englishlists reggae as "a recently estab. sp. for rege", as in rege-rege, a word that can mean either "rags, ragged clothing" or "a quarrel, a row".[1]
