The people who listen to teen Pop Music are not the ones you generally hear from. The listeners don't usually have access to major media. Remember that the ones who control 90% of what you see and hear as far as commentary are older. Plus, many times the ones who want you to listen to a certain kind of music will make "the older people hating it" more attractive to a younger listening audience.

∙ 14y agoBecause the genre of music is usually basic. The writing, the playing, the theme is usually the same, and thus, can be seen as talentless. Most pop follows the same type of structure, and if you look at other, more complex, genres, one can see that it's very watered down in comparison.
