A combination of Propaganda nad legacy.

The temples and so on built by Ramses are covered with inscriptions about his reign and his great deeds and achievements.Many of his statues have inscriptions aimed at those viewing them long after Ramses was dead,saying how mighty he was and this statue was evidence of that.

Btw ancient Egyptian pyramids and so on WERE NOT built by slaves.Contemporary records and archaeological evidence has conclusively proved they were built by professional construction workers,who were well treated and well paid.
