Tom Jones has publicly expressed his dislike for Engelbert Humperdinck due to a long-standing rivalry in the music industry, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s when both were prominent male vocalists. Their contrasting styles and personas contributed to a competitive atmosphere, leading to personal animosity. Additionally, Jones has mentioned feeling overshadowed by Humperdinck's popularity at times, which may have fueled his feelings toward him. However, it’s important to note that such sentiments are often amplified by media narratives rather than deep-seated hatred.

TOM JONES DEFINETLY!!!!!!
Niether man says much about the other these days. It's believed that they were friends until the mid 70's, around the time their manager Gordon Mills was negotiating new deals for them to leave London Records and join Epic. Somewhere in this time frame it's believed that Engelbert had a falling out with Mills over his perception that Jones was treated better, promoted better, than him. This lead to the end of their business relationship but also ended the friendship with Jones, who remained close to Mills until his death in 1986.

I'm not aware that he did. There is footage on YouTube of the two singing together when Jones was a guest on Engelbert's short lived Variety show in 1970.
