It seems as if the Road Sound Compensation system is active It will automatically adjust the volume accordingly to cabin conditions, so if your windows are down, it notices the excess noise and then compensates for the windows being down.
minumum like the volume is turnd as low as it will go
If you want the radio to go on when you start the engine, and go off when you take the key out of the ignition after turning the engine off, read on. Turn the radio on. There should be a "settings" button. (top left of the volume knob I think) Press it repeatedly until you find a setting "ignition logic". Press the Volume knob (it acts as an "enter" at this point, IIRC). The display show now show the choice "yes" or "no". Using the volume knob, rotate it to select "Yes". Press the volume knob, and you should be sorted.
Push volume knob? Yeah, you would think, but this radio doesn't have a push button and it doesn't "turn" on either...any other suggestions? thx :)
I am not sure excatly the situation. Are you saying that you need to press the knob to hear sound and if you let go you don't hear anything. If that's the case, first thing I need to know is if your radio using the volume button as the power on/off such as turning down the volume or depressing the knob. If this is true (and that's the knob you are refering to) then it could be a loose connection and by pressing the knob you are completing the connection and when released it looses the connection.
No, Go Radio is an Alternative Rock band from Tallahassee, Florida.
could be the setting you have it on (some keys, when pressed twice, makes windows go down
There are a few things that could cause this. It could be a factory setting for the car, or it could be caused by the transfer of electricity.?æ
Well i got a 94 bonne, it was used and when i got it it had no radio. Me and my dad got a factory radio at a junkyard and stuck it in. i also have the buttons on the stearing wheel to change the volume, and stations. Well it would swtich stations, the volume would go up and down all the time. He went in and disconnected the wires that delt with the stearing wheel. the volume still goes up sometimes but not that bad. Hope that helps.
If the windows don't go all the way down, it is likely they are designed that way because of the shape of the door and can not be fixed.
auto volume
