Why does someone think Go boy Go in the Dockers commercial is Frankie sugar Chile Robinson when his album is rock whereas the song is old style swing and the singer sounds like Ella Fitzgerald?

After seeing the above video and hearing his "Donkey Song" on XM Radio, I bought the CD and it is really good. There is a rumor that he was a fraud and just looked really young, but I don't think there's much to it. He went on to get his PhD in psychology and supposedly came out of retirement in 2000.
