It is a religious Christian painting, created by Raphaël Sanzio during the Italian Renaissance, years 1512 to 1514. It portrayed the virgin Mary, with baby Jesus in her arms and the saints, Barbara and Sixtus, on either side of her. Mary was appearing to be stepping out of the clouds of heaven, into the real world. This painting has been made very famous over the years, as have many of Raphaël's paintings. It now rests in Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden.
