According to The Bible, it is the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is considered the Lord's day (the Bible states "the first day of the week"). The early church and Apostles used the synagogues on Sundays to meet as well as church member's houses. It is important to note that the synagogues were IN USE on Saturdays, as this is the Jewish Sabbath. Many times in the New Testament, Paul notes that the Law was considered dead with Christ's resurrection, therefore, including following the Law of Moses (see Galations especially, as well as Romans). So, this means that there is no Christian Sabbath.
