I guess because people have an environment where people always hear about the violin so i guess because others learn about violin as they grow up you know? like a basic instrument that implanted into your brain or something.. i mean at first would you pick the violin?

Well the thing is that for people that aren't commfortable with the violin finger board, they usually have a viola, but there is violin strings.
