it should work fine unless you have it unplugged for too long. i have replaced batteries in these cars before and did not have to reset the radio
The battery has been disconnected. You will have to reenter the radio security code to reenable it.

Pull the radio out and cut the little red wire going into the radio.Make sure battery is disconnected when you reconnect battery car will start.
It's not broken, the power has been disconnected(flat battery, radio removed, blown fuse). Just do as the radio says, turn the key to the auxillary position, switch the radio on, wait 2 hrs and then enter the code.
Check your owners manual for a plastic card with the code. If you cannot find it then you have to remove the radio and call the dealer.
