During World War 1 music was a big part in building support for the war effort on the home front. It also helped with solider moral as well as in all wars some music was to question the war and to call a stop to it. You will find that many songs that were created during this time are still sung today. Songs like, 'Over There' (1917), 'Keep the Home Fires Burning' (1919), and 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary' (1914).
