The bell housing is not the same on the two but if you are doing a change over from a automatic to a stick and have the trans and bell housing the will will fit where a automatic came out.
An Aisin/Warner AW4. Made by Toyota. Variants of this tranny are used in Landcruisers, Lexus, Supras.
the sensor is located in the differential housing on the back of the transmission. (this is the speedomoter sensor, it is in the housing that the pass axle shaft slides into) For the 3.3/3.8L, it is near the bell-housing facing the firewall, as it senses the magnets that are on the torque converter when it spins. (that is the engine speed crank position sensor)
There were several transmissions put into your Grand Cherokee and of course the model depends on whether its a manual shift or automatic. You can find the part number stamped on the transmission itself if its an automatic. Look on the drivers side above the fluid pan gasket. On the manual its on a tag near the drain plug. The numbers will have the part number, build date and serial number and you can cross reference this number by calling the dealer.
There was several transmissions offered. It depends on what motor and trans you have. the 2.8 v6 and 2.5 i 4 came with a 3 speed torqueflight. in the mid 90s the switched to a 30rh 3 speed for the i4 (2.5) None of these had overdrive. there was an option for an AW4 transmission made by aisin, that had an overdrive. This was available about 86 or 87 till the discontinuation of the Cherokee in 2001.
The 2014 Jeep Grand-Cherokee has a 8-speed shiftable automatic.
No. Four speed automatic transmissions are pretty standard fare.
6-speed automatic. Technically 5 speed with overdrive
The first one is faster
there are NO 1882 300sd, 1982 all has 4 speed at.
All h and f series transmissions will pair with the h and f series engines.
Automatic transmissions are absolutely not dangerous. Any accidents not related to mechanical failure (which are very rare) are purely the drivers fault and have nothing to do with the car itself.
The base transmission was a 3-speed manual. The 4-speed manual and 3-speed automatic were optional. Both manual transmissions were Muncies and the automatic was the turbo 400.
It depends on the engine it has. I'll list the transmissions and engines below. 4.2L V6 - 5 speed manual, 4 speed automatic 4.6L V8 - 5 speed manual, 4 speed automatic 5.4L V8 - 4 speed automatic
Depends on which transmissions you're comparing. A three speed will typically be a direct drive transmission, meaning there is no overdrive gear.
1991-1996 Ranger automatic transmissions use Mercon type automatic transmission fluid.
The fifth generation (2010 - present) Camaros all have six speed automatic transmissions.
Pretty sure it was either the E4OD 4-speed automatic or the 5-speed manual.
