These lines got the song banned in some quarters- crazy of all it came out int he thirties Depression, where one would think songs along these lines would be subject to prior restraint. By the way the Ronnie Spector variant- not actually recorded would be- I"ll lock out You Bum, That"s no Mistake- Spector"s marital life more Blitz than Bliss, as her book tragically relates.
