First select a partition you would like to format. There are three ways to format a chosen partition: a. Select Format in the menu Partition.b. Click Format button in the Tool Bar.c. Select the button Format Partition underthe group Partition Operations in the Action Panel. When using this function, you need to reset the drive letter and Cluster Size of the new partition. The scope of Cluster Size is 512 Bytes, 1KB, 2KB, 4KB, 8KB, 16KB, 32KB, 64 KB. We usually recommend you use the default size. Can one install fedora OS when windows7 OS is already existing in a computer with only one drive?

To be on the safe side you should make another partition on the drive. I've used another tutorial from the internet . 1. You will first need to shrink a partition or volume from the free space on a disk to create unallocated space on that disk to use to create the new partition or volume with on the same disk. 2. Open the Control Panel (All Items view), and click on the Administrative Tools icon. then close the Control Panel window. 3. Click on Computer Management in Administrative Tools, then close the Administrative Tools window. 4. In the left pane under Storage, click on Disk Management. 5. In the middle pane, right click on the empty unallocated partition or volume and click on New Simple Volume. 6. Click on the Next button. 7. Type in how many MB (1 GB = 1024 MB) you want to use from the unallocated partition to create the new partition with, then click on the Next button. IF YOU ARE INSTALLING AN OPERATING SYSTEM USE ABOUT 30GB NOTE: If you want to use all of the unallocated partition to create the new partition with, then type all of the maximum disk space shown for the unallocated partition. If you do not use all of the maximum disk space, then you can use the left over space from the unallocted partition to create another new partition with. 8. Select an available drive letter that you want to be assigned to the new partition in Computer, then click on the Next button. 9. Type in a volume label name that you want for the new partition, check the Perform a quick format box, and click on the Next button. 10. Click on the Finish button. 11. The new primary partition or volume has now been created with the assigned unallocted partition space

How do you display hidden or system files?

In Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP, with Explorer open, select Tools and Folder Options from the top menu. Select the View tab. Click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button. Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" button -- it will warn you about this, accept and click the OK button on the Folder Options window. This will only apply to the current folder; if you want to apply it to every folder on the computer, instead of clicking OK, click Apply, and then click the "Apply to All Folders" button at the top of the window before clicking OK to close the window. In Windows Vista and 7, open Control Panel and select Folder Options. Click the View tab. Click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button. Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" button -- it will warn you about this, accept and click the OK button on the Folder Options window. In Vista and 7, it applies to all folders automatically.

How do you get your computer to use a healthy OEM partition?

A windows computer (XP and after) will be able to store data on a partition if the partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, but will not use that partition as the default one unless you install an operating system and boot off of that partition. To format the partition for use like I described for the first answer, click the start button on the bottom left corner of the screen, then right click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and select "manage." Click the "Storage" tab on the left side of the window that opens, and select "Disk Management." Locate the correct partition right click it, select "format" and follow the wizard that opens up.

How do you create a partition with partition wizard?

As with ANY operation to change something on an HDD, backup first.Map out your HDD - current partitions and sizes including hidden system and recovery partitionsYou must understand some things about partitions before you can proceed. Each HDD can only have 4 primary partitions. A new WinXP system from a mfg. like Dell already contains 3 partitions - System (hidden), C:, and Recovery, which may show as D: or be hidden. You can create one more primary partition. If you want to create more than 4 total, an extended partition must be created. It is sort of like a folder for partitions. You will have 2 primary and one extended which can contain more partitions. You cannot boot from an extended partition. Once you have that figured out, the functions of Partition Wizard will begin to make sense and you can determineAnother ways , you can use three party tool ,like as MiniTool partition wizard.Step 1: Choose one of the following ways to activate "Create Partition" function:Drop down the "Partition" button to find "Create" after selecting the unallocated space.Click "Create" from Toolbar after selecting the unallocated space.Click "Create Partition" from left menu after selecting the unallocated space.Right click on the unallocated space and choose "Create" option from drop-down menu.Step 2: In this interface, you are expected to confirm parameters including Partition Label, Partition Type, Drive Letter, File System, Cluster Size, Partition Volume and Partition Location. If you make no change here, all these parameters are kept by default. After that click "OK" button to go back to main interface of the software. Step 3: You can preview a new partition will be created on Windows 10. Click "Apply" button on the upper left corner to confirm the creation if you agree.Hope that helps
