Limewire, the file-sharing software that was popular in the early 2000s, was officially shut down in 2010 due to legal issues related to copyright infringement. While there may be unofficial versions or alternatives available online, downloading LimeWire as it originally existed is not possible. The original company has since pivoted to a legal music platform, but the classic file-sharing application is no longer accessible.
The peer to peer file sharing computer program LimeWire can be downloaded from a plethora of places on the internet. LimeWire can be downloaded from the official LimeWire website, or from other websites like CNET.
I have it and it has never done that.
Limewire is illegal and so are songs that are downloaded off the Internet so I suggest if you have dowloaded a song from the Internet, you should delete it but that's my opinion.
To transfer songs from LimeWire to your SD card, first, ensure that the songs you downloaded are saved on your computer. Locate the downloaded music files, usually found in the LimeWire shared folder. Connect your SD card to your computer using a card reader, then copy the desired music files from the LimeWire folder and paste them into the appropriate folder on your SD card. Eject the SD card safely once the transfer is complete.
Enjoy your song buddy

FrostWire and LimeWire store music in your documents folder, or whatever folder you specify. Uninstalling / deleting them does not remove the files you downloaded.

Once you've downloaded, go to the list of your downloaded music. Then, drag it out onto the desktop. Then, drag it into itunes, that is the easiest way to transfer music. You can listen to it on Limewire by double clicking it but it is low quality and too much hassle.
