Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, a member of the popular hip-hop group TLC, died in a car accident in La Ceiba, Honduras, on April 25, 2002. She was 30 years old at the time of her death.
Lopes was in Honduras to work on her solo music project and was riding in a rented SUV with several other passengers when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled off the road. Lopes was the only fatality in the accident, and the other passengers survived with injuries.
