The G4 Boyz burst onto the Northeast music scene in 2009 with their gritty street anthems. Much like noteworthy crews before them, G4 Boyz are determined to pave the way for a long career, and their new album Blood Diamonds: Rebel Edition and G4 Cake Clothing line are sure to bring in new fans worldwide.

Slated for release on iTunes on March 20, 2012, Blood Diamonds: Rebel Edition is a lyrical Hip Hop expedition into the G4 Boyz' high-energy lives. The 13 original tracks include appearances from Lil Wayne, Jbar of SODMG and Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, with production from G5 Kidz (Soulja Boy), Yung Lan (Roscoe Dash, Jbar), Lil Keis on the Beat (Yo Gotti, Soulja Boy), Toronto's Rich Lane and more.

The G4 Boyz are known for their affinity for high-end fashion, flashy jewelry and cars, however that has not deterred their artistry. The duo has worked independently to gain a devoted fan base through their streets stories, all derived from personal, life-changing experiences.

Born in Staten Island, New York and in-part raised in Ohio to a mother and father of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin, brothers Ice and Buggy have had their fair share of challenges. As teens, they hustled in and out of the Eastern seaboard, traveling to Atlanta, Massachusetts and Ohio on the never-ending pursuit of their version of the American Dream.

Intent on attaining wealth by any means necessary, the brothers' hustle brought money, popularity and, unfortunately, incarceration. Nevertheless, their creative vision reigned supreme, and the two can attribute their assertive mindset to influences from many areas.

"Being born in the streets of New York opened our eyes to a lot of things,"Ice says. "We had experiences that pushed us to grow up quicker, from our moms having to sell dope in order to put food on the table, to our oldest brother sneaking us in to high school parties before our time. But as we got older, we got on our own grind with the music. In Ohio we learned more about artists like Master P, Gucci Mane, Scarface, Twista and Bone Thugs. The influence of the Midwest and South gave us flavors of all areas of the country, without losing who we are as artists."

Despite past challenges, the G4 Boyz have legitimized their lives with music, creating an opportunity for the crew to tell their stories. Thus far, they have worked with the likes of Roscoe Dash, Lil Wayne, Waka Flocka Flameand more. G4 Boyz mixtapes have moved over 15,000 copies in the streets, and their rising "G4 Gwalla Gang" movement hopes to elevate the Northeast rap movement to new heights in the years to come.

"As a group, we are here to leave legendary mark, as one of the biggest, flyest movements to ever do it," Buggy explains. "As individuals we work hard - the streets prepared us well. Now we are ready to continue to push our careers and lives to different heights. We want to accomplish many things in and out music, from acting to business."

"I believe that we are showing our generation that you can be authentic; that you can come from nothing and make something," Ice adds. "Of course a lot of people can relate, but what makes us stand out is being able to do things that people don't normally expect from artists with no co-sign, no label, and no one in the industry to lean on. We've made ourselves recognizable to the point that people like Rick Ross personally hit us to say he appreciates what we are doing. So how can you not love the rags to riches story?"
