Nitrous Oxide contains a fair amount of Oxygen.

Nitrous Oxide Is a liquid in the bottle

When you spray Nitrous Oxide into the intake you add Oxygen, you also add additional fuel. Thus more power.

The liquid Nitrous Oxide and in my case Liquid propane fuel make the intake charge much colder increasing the intake charge and power.
