I have an authoritative book on owls that claims that "Roe Deer" (a very small deer in Europe) have been eaten by a Great Horned Owl (or their version of that owl). It didn't say whether it was a juvenile or injured deer.
Many owls swallow prey whole and regurgitate a pellet later, but they are quite happy to eat the traditional way... tear the animal apart w/ the beak and eat just the flesh.
to get the energy from plants and turn it in to animal energy
the short height one's eat grass example cattle, deer, antilope etc.Long ones eat tree leaves example giraffe.
I needed this question once for a food chain project, and all I found was bears. Bears eat berries, dead animals, deer, plants, and mostly everything. <><><> You forgot people.
"animals" is very vague. If It's a deer, sure maybe. If you're talking about killer whales, no.
Animals do eat buckeyes but those that do usually get sick and some die. The young shoots and leaves are toxic to most animals and humans. Although the nuts are poisonous, the shoots and leaves are more so.
no dears do not
The deer that live in the rainforest will eat leaves and grasses that are found there. This is because deer are herbivores.
Deer definitely eat very young artichokes, when the leaves are tender and high in nitrogen.
No, a deer is not a decomposer. A deer is a consumer; a herbivore. It eats twigs and leaves and any other flora it can reach. Decomposers are organisms that eat away at dead materials, such as fungi eating away at the soil or deceased animal bodies.
It is unlikely that a deer would eat a duck, whether it is dead or alive. Deer are primarily herbivores and typically feed on vegetation such as grass, leaves, and twigs. They are not known to be scavengers or predators of other animals.
Deer mice eat seeds and fruit. They eat insects. They also nibble on dead animals.
Deer are herbivores. They eat grass, leaves, and sometimes bark if they must. They do not eat any animals, predator or otherwise.
Yes. They will eat the flowers, but not the leaves.
Squirrels do not eat dead deer since they are not decomposers and they do not ear meat. Squirrels will commonly eat fruits, nuts and other vegetables in the wild.
No.They eat leaves but sometimes accidentally eat bugs.

No deer are all vegetarians. Coyote may eat deer if they are found wounded or dead.
