The refrigerant gas is now at low pressure and temperature, and enters the suction side of the compressor, completing the cycle.

But this switch is not something you reset. It automatically closes itself, when the system pressure comes up enough to trip it, usually about 20 or 25 pounds of pressure. If you cant it to take a charge, you have another problem. Make sure your cahrhging hose is actually depressing the shrader vavle(looks like a tire valve) in the charging port to allow refrgerant to enter the system. Or you may have a problem with the tool you are using to charge up the system, or you may have a restriction in the system. Also, is charging the system really the issue? Is refrigerant getting in, but the compreesor dosent engage? Could it be that the system has refrigerant, but an electrical problem is causing the compressor to not turn on?
