Who is the discoverer of heavy hydrogen?

Harold Clayton Urey (1893-1981) discovered the heavy hydrogen isotopes in the 1930s. In 1931 he demonstrated the existence of the hydrogen isotope of atomic weight two, one with weight three was supposed but not yet revealed. For his discovery of heavy hydrogen Urey was awarded the Nobel prize of chemistry in 1934.The discovery of H2 (Deuterium) was announced by Harold C. Urey, F.G. Brickwedde, and G. M. Murphy in the Physical Review of 1 January 1932. A more comprehensive article appeared in the April issue of that journal. They did not give a name to the newly discovered isotope, not for the isotope H3 which they predicted.

What does a Miller Urey synthesis refer to?

A simulation of the origin of life.

What materials did Harold Urey and Stanley miller use to create the conditions of early earth in their laboratory?

Harold Urey and Stanley Miller used a mixture of gases such as methane, ammonia, water vapor, and hydrogen to simulate the early Earth's atmosphere in their laboratory experiments. They then subjected this mixture to electrical sparks to mimic lightning, creating amino acids and other organic compounds, potentially similar to those that could have formed on early Earth.

What do you contribute to your community being a biology student?

As a biology student, I contribute to my community by sharing my knowledge of environmental issues, promoting conservation efforts, and participating in research projects that address local ecological and health-related concerns. I also volunteer at local events and organizations to raise awareness about biodiversity and sustainable practices.
