Flowers store water inside all the individual cells that make up the flower. Water inside the cells is stored in a large vacuole, and keeps the plant firm and able to stand up. A vacuole is a membrane bound object in the cell , somewhat like a balloon, but unlike a balloon because water can be absorbed or lost through it.
